An incentive is currently in place for referrals to eligible positions in Small Package, UPS Technology Group, Sales, and UPS Capital.

Referrals must be submitted after program launch date outlined in rules to be eligible for incentive.

Who is eligible?

All active U.S. employees (excluding HR employees and grade 50 and above) are eligible to receive an incentive bonus for referrals that adhere to eligibility guidelines.

What’s in it for me?

The incentive will be paid automatically for every referral that adheres to eligibility guidelines.

There is no limit on the number of referrals that can be submitted by one UPSer. However, the maximum total referral incentives a participating employee can receive in a calendar year is $15,000.

UPS/Loop Employee Referral Program Guidelines

UPS employees can submit referrals through the UPS Loop Employee Referral Program at ups.loop.jobs or by texting UPSRefer to 90206. A referral incentive will be paid out to UPS employees that submit referrals for eligible positions based on the program rules outlined below. Referrals that are not submitted via this process (ups.loop.jobs or texting UPSRefer) will not be eligible for any incentives offered through any active programs.

 

Small Package Employee Referral Program Rules:

  • Referral must be submitted through the Employee Referral Program at ups.loop.jobs or by texting UPSRefer to 90206 after the program’s launch date of June 21, 2022 to be eligible for incentive.
  • A $250 referral incentive is currently in place for eligible small package positions: package handler, package driver, feeder driver, driver helper, personal vehicle driver, part-time supervisor.
  • Referral incentive will be paid out for all eligible hires who remain active for 60 days or end of peak season, whichever comes first.
  • Payment will be issued approximately 30 days after reaching the eligibility date.
  • Only active UPS employees are eligible to receive incentives for referrals to eligible positions.
  • The incentive will be paid out to the UPS employee who referred the candidate only, not the referred candidate.
  • Only one incentive will be paid out per successful hire. If duplicate referrals are submitted, the first employee to submit the referral candidates’ information will be the person to receive the incentive.
  • The cost center of the referring employee will be responsible for the cost/payout.
  • All HR employees (regardless of level) and band 50 and above are not eligible to receive referral incentives.
  • A payout will be received for every referral that results in a hire and adheres to these eligibility rules.
  • There is no limit on the quantity of referral incentives that an active UPS employee can receive if the process and rules are followed.
  • Referrals do not guarantee employment for referred candidates.
  • Referrals must be submitted prior to candidate application submission.
  • Valid e-mail addresses must be submitted to be considered eligible for a referral. E-mail addresses from job boards will not be accepted (@indeed.com, etc.).

 

UPS Capital Employee Referral Program Rules:

  • Referral must be submitted through the Employee Referral Program at ups.loop.jobs or by texting UPSRefer to 90206 after the program’s launch date of June 1, 2022 to be eligible for incentive.
  • Referral incentive is currently in place for administrative through director level positions at UPS Capital.
  • Referral incentive will be paid out for all eligible hires who remain active for 90 days.
  • Payment will be issued approximately 30 days after reaching the eligibility date.
  • Only active UPS Capital employees are eligible to receive incentives for referrals to eligible UPS Capital positions.
  • The incentive will be paid out to the UPS Capital employee who referred the candidate only, not the referred candidate.
  • Only one incentive will be paid out per successful hire. If duplicate referrals are submitted, the first employee to submit the referral candidates’ information will be the person to receive the incentive.
  • The cost center of the referring employee will be responsible for the cost/payout.
  • All HR employees (regardless of level) and band 50 and above are not eligible to receive referral incentives.
  • A payout will be received for every referral that results in a hire and adheres to these eligibility rules. Incentive amounts are tiered based on the job the referral is submitted for.
    • Admin/Specialist: $500 per hire
    • Supervisor: $800 per hire
    • Manager: $1,000 per hire
    • Director: $1,500 per hire
  • There is no limit on the quantity of referral incentives that an active UPS employee can receive if the process and rules are followed.
  • Referrals do not guarantee employment for referred candidates.
  • Referrals must be submitted prior to candidate application submission.
  • Valid e-mail addresses must be submitted to be considered eligible for a referral. E-mail addresses from job boards will not be accepted (@indeed.com, etc.).

 

Information Technology (I.T.) Employee Referral Program Rules:

  • Referral must be submitted through the Employee Referral Program at ups.loop.jobs or by texting UPSRefer to 90206 after the program’s launch date of June 15, 2022 to be eligible for incentive.
  • A $1,500 referral incentive is currently in place for all developer, data science, and analytics roles in all I.T. locations in the U.S.
  • Referral incentive will be paid out for all eligible hires who remain active for 90 days or through Dec. 27, 2022 (whichever comes first).
  • Payment will be issued approximately 30 days after reaching the eligibility date.
  • The incentive will be paid out to the UPS employee who referred the candidate only, not the referred candidate.
  • Only one incentive will be paid out per successful hire. If duplicate referrals are submitted, the first employee to submit the referral candidates’ information will be the person to receive the incentive.
  • Only active UPS employees can submit referrals. This also includes seasonal employees.
  • Seasonal employees that stay through peak season are eligible for referral incentives submitted prior to the end of peak season. Seasonal employees will be paid for referrals on the same schedule as permanent UPS employees.
  • The cost center of the referring employee will be responsible for the cost/payout of incentives.
  • All HR employees (regardless of level) and band 50 and above are not eligible to receive referral incentives.
  • Hiring managers that are a part of the selection process are not eligible to receive referral incentives.
  • The incentive payout is $1,500 per referral that results in a successful hire. A payout will be received for every referral that results in a hire and adheres to these rules.
  • There is no limit on the quantity of referral incentives that an active UPS employee can receive if the process and rules are followed.
  • Referrals do not guarantee employment for referred candidates.
  • Referrals must be submitted prior to candidate application submission.

Sales Employee Referral Program Rules:

  • Referral must be submitted through the Employee Referral Program at ups.loop.jobs or by texting UPSRefer to 90206 after the program’s launch date of June 15, 2022 to be eligible for incentive. This program will close on November 15, 2022. Referrals submitted after this date will not be eligible for incentives.
  • Referral incentive is currently in place for eligible Sales position in the U.S. Eligible positions include Associate Account Executive (AAE), Account Executive (AE), and Senior Account Executive (SAE).
  • Referral incentive will be paid out for all eligible hires who remain active for 90 days or through Dec. 27, 2022 (whichever comes first).
  • Payment will be issued approximately 30 days after reaching the eligibility date.
  • The incentive will be paid out to the UPS employee who referred the candidate only, not the referred candidate.
  • Only one incentive will be paid out per successful hire. If duplicate referrals are submitted, the first employee to submit the referral candidates’ information will be the person to receive the incentive.
