All active U.S. employees (excluding HR employees and grade 50 and above) are eligible to receive an incentive bonus for referrals that adhere to eligibility guidelines.
The incentive will be paid automatically for every referral that adheres to eligibility guidelines.
There is no limit on the number of referrals that can be submitted by one UPSer. However, the maximum total referral incentives a participating employee can receive in a calendar year is $15,000.

We at United Parcel Service (UPS), we are mindful of our responsibilities and your privacy when we handle personal information. This Notice describes our practices in the collection, use, transfer and other processing of your personal information when you apply for a job with UPS.
Personal Information that we may collect from you
UPS collects the following types of personal information from you:
Except as described in this Notice or as permitted or required by law, UPS does not collect personal information that may be considered sensitive under applicable data protection law (such as biometric data and information about your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, criminal records, criminal proceedings, or health or sex life).
In addition, when you visit our Careers Sites, we may collect certain information by automated means. This includes cookies, web beacons, IP address, browser characteristics, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, information on actions taken on the sites, and dates and times of website visits.
How we use the personal information we collect from you
The personal information that UPS collects from you helps UPS to:
Access to, use of and other handling of your personal information by UPS will be limited to individuals who have a need to know the information, and only for the purposes described in this Notice.
Through automated data collection methods such as cookies, we obtain “clickstream data,” which is a log of content on which a visitor clicks while browsing a website. We may link certain data elements we have collected through automated means, such as your browser information, with other information we have obtained about you to let us know, for example, whether you have opened an email we sent to you. We also may use third-party website analytics tools that collect information about visitor traffic on the Careers Sites. Please note that without cookies, you may not be able to use all of the features on our Careers Sites. The providers of third-party apps, tools, widgets and plug-ins on the Careers Sites, such as third-party login services and Facebook “Like” buttons, also may use automated means to collect information regarding your interactions with these features. This information is subject to the privacy policies or notices of these providers.
How we protect and retain your personal information
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information you provide against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use. As required by applicable law, when UPS retains a third-party service provider, that provider will be required to (i) use measures to protect the confidentiality and security of the personal information and (ii) process the personal information only as directed by UPS.
We retain your personal information only for as long as required for the purposes stated in this Notice, and/or to meet our regulatory obligations. In the event that you accept a position offered by UPS, UPS will retain the personal information you have provided to us for the period of your employment by UPS and up to six years thereafter. Otherwise, UPS may retain the personal information in your application for up to three years after your application.
Transfer or sharing of your personal information
We do not sell or otherwise share personal information about you, except as described in this Notice.
Due to the global nature of UPS’ operations, we may transfer your personal information to other entities in the UPS group and to third party service providers to perform services on our behalf, to be used as described in this Notice. Such third parties include service providers who facilitate communication (e.g. through WhatsApp, Kakao Talk, WeChat, SMS etc.) with you regarding your application, and who manage your consent to our collection and processing of your personal information as part of the job application. Once example of such a third party provider is Loop Works LLC, based in the United Kingdom.
These entities and third parties may be located in countries other than the country in which your personal information was originally collected, and these countries may have different data protection laws than those in the country in which you may be based. We use contractual protections for the transfer of personal information across jurisdictions.
If required, UPS may also make your personal information available to regulatory authorities and professional advisors (e.g. accountants, auditors, lawyers etc.).
We do not allow third party service providers to use or disclose your personal information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements.
Your rights over your personal information
Subject to applicable law, you have certain rights with respect to our processing of your personal information, which may include: (i) the right to access your personal information; (ii) the right to obtain correction of your personal information which is incomplete, inaccurate or outdated; (iii) the right to request the transmission of your personal information you have provided to us, to you or to another company, (iv) the right to object to any uses or disclosures of your personal information, (v) the right to withdraw your consent in relation to our processing of your personal information based on your consent, (vi) the right to request deletion of your personal information and (vii) the right to request that we restrict processing of your personal information.
If permitted by applicable law, you may request to exercise these rights free of charge by contacting us as described below in the “How to Contact Us” section. However, we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act on a request if it is manifestly unfounded, excessive or otherwise unreasonable in particular because of its repetitive nature. In some situations, we may refuse to act or may impose limitations on your rights if, for instance, your request is likely to adversely affect the rights and freedoms of UPS or others, prejudice the execution or enforcement of the law, interfere with pending or future litigation, or infringe the law. Subject to applicable law, you have a right to file a complaint with the personal information protection authority in your country / territory.
